This sweet & tangy condiment is easy to make and even easier to consume!
1 cup balsamic vinegar
1 cup sugar
This recipe is equal parts of each ingredient and very simple to increase in quantity.
Add all ingredients to a small sauce pan.
Stir mixture over medium heat until the sugar melts.
Bring to a slow boil.
Simmer for 15-20 minutes (stirring often)
Remove from heat and let cool (the syrup will thicken as it cools).
Drizzle it over just about anything!
Use it as a marinade for meat, fish and veggies.
Beautiful over tomato, mozzarella & basil salad or used as a dressing for a cold pasta salad.
Pour it into a mason jar and keep in the refrigerator. It also makes a fabulous homemade gift!
