Spiced Pork Loin & Apples

This meal is as aromatic as it is delicious! I found some pork loin hiding in the back of the freezer and decided to cook it before it succumbed to freezer burn (a terrible way to go).  I gathered up some the last of the apples (before they went bad as well) and finally used the bottle of wine I received over the holidays that was not terribly pleasing to my palate but had a lovely, spicy scent. I don’t like to waste anything (especially wine)! .

  • 1 Pork Loin
  • 1 bottle Holiday Spice Wine
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 bunch fresh Rosemary
  • 3 Apples (sliced)
  • 1 tsp Whole Cloves
  • 1 Tbsp Nutmeg
  • Salt & Pepper (to taste)
  • 1 medium Red Onion (chopped)


  • Place all ingredients in a crock pot and cook on high for approx. 4.5 hours.
  • Make sure the pork’s internal temperature reaches 145 degrees.

Serve hot and enjoy!
