Cream Cheese Frosting

I don’t have much of a sweet tooth and don’t do a whole lot of baking, but I am a HUGE fan of cream cheese frosting! Since my daughter requested it for her birthday I had to find a good recipe and here it is from



2 8oz. packages cream cheese (softened/room temperature)

1/2 cup butter (softened/room temperature)

2 cups confectioners’ sugar (sifted)

1 tsp. vanilla extract


Cream butter and cream cheese together, add sugar little by little, then when everything is blended mix in the vanilla extract.

If you have extra left over you can store it in the refrigerator.  BY the way….this frosting is also yummy on zucchini-craisin bread. See my blog for that recipe too!
