I love food.  I love the art and process of cooking.  I love what it represents and the memories that are associated with particular dishes.  I believe that just because you may not have much money, that doesn’t mean you can’t feed yourself (or your family) a hearty, healthy meal.  I can say that because I have experienced it, and I firmly believe that this is how my creative cooking skills were honed.  When you look in the refrigerator and the only viable ingredients you have are 1-2 stray eggs, some flour, a bag of shredded cheese, a jar of green olives and some questionable carrots, you know it’s going to be an interesting meal!

Cooking is an art just like painting, creating music, writing or dance.  Perhaps I’m simply an artist rather than a “foodie”?  It doesn’t really matter what the label may say, it’s the fit that counts.  I fit in the kitchen.
